Florence had an unsettled night and woke me four times before 6am so Fraggle got up with Olivia when she sprang into action at some hideous time!!
Suddenly they reappeared with a cup of tea and a lovely card that they made yesterday...I could almost read it through the sleepy haze lol...they left me to have a bit more sleep....my tea went cold oops!!
Florence woke again and so we wandered downstairs to join in some breakfast mayhem!!
Thomas brought down a huge card and a DVD (Suckerpunch) and then Fraggle announced that I had to go and look in the garden for my Mother's Day surprise from the girls. We donned our boots and off we went, it was rather colder than I expected...brrr the dressing gown wasn't quite up to the job lol!!
Suddenly I heard a pok!!
The chickens were all in their enclosure...but there it was again 'pok'
Hmm....then I spotted a young chuck hiding behind the old fence.....awwwww a new chuck, my Mother's Day present!! Yey!!
This is the second time that a chicken has made it ahead of chocolates or flowers, I much prefer a little chicken friend!!

As is always the way we brought our new friend in to give her a cuddle and love her!! She is very lovely, very like Nettle (black, brown and gingery with green tints in the light) we need to think of an appropriate name for her, I just can't quite decide yet, hmmm!
Well the new little lady was so lonely looking that we decided she would need a friend (she is too young and small to introduce to the big bullies!!) I had some birthday money so decided a little friend would be a perfect plan for some of it!!
We retrieved Thomas from work, he bought me liquorice (spoiled lol) and after a trip to the shop for a few food bits we popped over to Bledlow Ridge where we bought our original trio. I was hoping to find another Amber Star (like Cotton) but they didn't have any this time. They did have White Stars though which was what I was after when we got Cotton. They apparently lay white eggs which would be VERY exciting!! So a White Star it was!!
We brought her home and have introduced her to the other girly and I hope that they are making friends!! The Nettle look alike is bigger but they are very similar in age.
How exciting!
Fraggle cooked pancakes for lunch too, yummy!!!
It's trying to snow now...what has happened to the weather?! :S
So now to think of names for our two new additions, a dark brown/black/ginger and a white...it's hard not to think of them as Nettle and Cotton!!
